I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Mickey Miller!
Like with every anthology or collection of short stories, there is a risk. With all the different stories, there are bound to be people who like some and dislike some, and I was in that boat.
Some of the stories were great! “Stories” may be a strong word, because they are beginnings of story. Small amuse-bouches to get you craving more.
Some other stories were not to my taste, but it was fun because they would finish quickly and I couldn’t sait to see what the next story held! It’s exciting that readers can hop from one story to the next so free-spiritedly. We also get some snippets from Miller’s previous books!
I really like the concept of letting the readers choose which “story” they would like turned into a full-length novel! Truly modern in thought, and for that I applaud Miller.
The reason why the rating is 3.5, is because I disliked or wasn’t super interested in more stories than I enjoyed. I can’t wait to see the results!
