I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you CJ Scarlett!
This was one of the better books in the series. The story was interesting, and feministic, which I enjoy, I did have a few snags with it.
First, I would have liked to have seen more of the other two sisters. It is mainly about Hel, but since they were introduced as a unit, I felt as though they were more important than portrayed in the book. I wouldn't have minded it be longer, I just needed more three-dimensionality.
Second, after reading so many books in this series, I am realizing that although there are many alien species, they are all so similar. Not physically, but they worship women, and all think they fight each other. There is no way they are the only female to female affectionate beings. It's missing a certain diversity. I'm craving something can't put my finger on.
Anyways, regardless of my personal snags, it was one of the better stories.
