I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Marni Mann!
God I love Marni Mann’s books. They are so well written. Every word flows effortlessly into the next, making a fluid and cohesive read. The author is extremely good at what she does.
I liked the premise of this book. It was original and had depth. It wasn’t frivolous or anything, it dealt with the issue of privacy, especially celebrities’ privacy, which they are entitled too as well. She directs a critical eye towards the media, and how easily a while career can be destroyed in literally seconds. It is a modern and à propos story.
The only thing about this book is that it is a little predictable. There were still a few surprises, but the main lines of the plot can be figured out easily. Despite its predictability though, Mann is able to keep the reader hooked the whole way through - because that’s what good authors do.
Overall, I’m happy with this read, and look forward to Mann’s next book!
