I got this book on a whim, because I was (and still am) a LINKIN PARK & FORT MINOR fan. I thought to myself "I like Mike Shinoda, I wonder how his wife writes." Let me just say, they are one exceptionally talented couple.
Whatever words I use in this review, they will never convey how much this book was moving, heartbreaking and fantastic. It ticked so many boxes; great main character, spectacular story line, amazing literary devices used throughout the novel and beautiful, enticing writing.
Clare, the main character in this book, faces so many challenges and faces them with strength and passion for her young age. She grown so much throughout this novel and starts seeing her world without that veil of naivety. She is an incredible role model.
This book was just so deep and emotional, that the only thing I can say is "Go to the bookstore right now and get this beautiful masterpiece" and you will undoubtedly be rendered speechless, just like I was and still am.
