I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Stella Knights!
I like the concept of this book! The narration scenario is quite original and fun. There were a couple of snags for me, but other than that, it was entertaining.
First, I felt as though Aiden's characterization is not consistent. It seemed to me that what he did was put of nowhere, and didn't match the perception I got of him from earlier in the novel. That one action just didn't sit right with me.
Second, Holly's reaction to the action in question was surprising. I felt like she just accepted it way too fast. If she had had some disdain towards him, whether it'd be for a couple of hours, it would have been more believable and natural. She also doesn't seem very preoccupied by the fact that people will be out looking for her - which seems off for me because she works as a parole officer, and well, sue basically works in a "dangerous" environment and is in constant contact with law enforcement.
I felt as though we were finally getting somewhere at the end, and then, well, it ENDS! The suspense! Looking forward to the next one!
