What an angsty AF ride. Tara Leigh is a good writer, that's for sure. She can pull you into her story so effortlessly. She creates intrigue at every page and keeps you turning them! it is a complex story of maturity and responsibility. I loved it until right before the end...

My issue with the ending, is that it feels like a cop-out. I wanted - craved - more. A confrontation, a sequence of event to match the build-up happening during the book. I also craved to find out Romy's perspective on everything. It was like a whole chunk of the story was skipped.

That being said, I DID still enjoy the story and wish to read more from this author. She has an interesting way to plot. Some of these twists and turn took me by surprise, and I'm usually good at predicting stuff. So overall, a good read, and I cannot wait to see what Tara Leigh comes up with next!

Ouf!! If you're looking for a short angsty read, this is it! This is the perfect prequel for Legacy of Lies, and sets up the book perfectly. We know it will take us on an emotional ride. We just do. Especially with that ending! Eeeep! I was not expecting that ALL!

This was my first Tara Leigh book, and it was a very satisfying read! The plot setup was amazing and concise. We dive into the world of the New York Elite, and we know exactly who the characters are and what is happening even if the setting is unfamiliar to most people. What also helps, is that it doesn't feel pretentious at all from the perspective of Tripp and Jolie. They don't act like entitled brats and I love it!

Their relationship is heartwarming and honest, and I am beyond excited to dive into Legacy of Lies tonight.
