I received an ARC of this book from Thomas Nelson Fiction via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Thomas Nelson Fiction!
This is the kind of book that just makes you happy. Honestly and truly, I found myself enjoying the story of Evangeline, the ward of King Richard of England. She was a great main character whose braveness and boldness is admirable throughout the novel. She runs away from the castle to avoid marrying the evil Lord Shiveley, and disguises herself as a servant.
The plot of this story is entertaining, and although it is slightly predictable, it doesn't turn out exactly as you had thought it would which keeps the reader interested.
I liked the setting of this story and the relatively simple story. Reading this book was like a breath of fresh air. Absolutely entertaining, light, and fun.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes classic romance.
