I received an RC of this book from Book Enthusiast Promotions & Wicked Truth Publishing vis NetGalley. Thank you both!
My feelings about this book were a little all over the place. At first, I was really confused. Then, I didn't like the triviality of the story; teenage girl drama over her ex-guy-best-friend-who-is-the-hottest-guy-in-school kind of thing. When the danger aspect of the book started coming into play I was intrigued, and found myself liking it. And then, the horror: Vampires & (sometimes-)Wolf Shifters. Did I just step into Twilight? You guessed it! It's also a darn love triangle. Although I was turned off., I kept reading, and found myself not to be distracted my the Twilightesque feel of the book. The story got more and more interesting, being revealed one thread at a time, to in the end form a blanket you always want to wrapped in.
So, the story ended up getting better as the novel went on, and I quite liked the ending - possibly my favorite part.
I just wished the story was less cliché and predictable. I also would have like more of an implication in the plot by Peter's sister.
All in all though, it was entertaining and fun to read.
