I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Elisa!

CAN I GIVE THIS BOOK A BILLION STARS???

I absolutely love Elisa Marie Hopkins's writing. It's fresh, funny, punny (my favourite part!), and those Harry Potter references did not go unnoticed! I really enjoy the way Elisa adds in side notes/comments in brackets sometimes, really adding a personal touch to the book. (I totally do that when I write as well, so maybe I'm just ever so slightly biased to that style)

Now to the story. I STORMED through this book. I simply could not help myself. Every chance I got, I used; on the bus, walking to school (totally safe right?), before bed (for 3 hours)... This gave me torn feelings, because I knew this was the last book, but self control is not something that is within me when I read Elisa's books. As Sophie would say, "Just one bite. Fuck it. Hah! One bite, my ass." Well, with this book it's, "Just one more chapter. Fuck it. Hah! One more chapter, my ass." - True story.

This book made my heart race, it made me laugh, it made me tear up. Gosh darn it Elisa, how is it over *insert wailing gif*. Cries in corner. But I guess, all good things must come to an end, including the badass quotes I always highlight in her books, because they're always unbelievably epic. What a great finale, which was totally unpredictable, to one of (if not my) favourite series. Actually Elisa, you just totally snagged first place. *Standing Ovation*

Side note: Totally claiming "First Review" for this book

Action-packed, emotionally thrilling roller coaster ride. These are the words that come to mind after finishing this novel. The freaking feels. OMG. My heart clenched, my mind has been blown many times over, and my soul has been ripped to pieces. THE TORTURE. I need Brilliantly Cut now. *insert desperately pained face*

Yet again, Elisa Marie Hopkins has pulled off the most enticing novel. I was wrapped from beginning to end, reading until I couldn't stay awake any longer. Through her words, she is able to make the reader feel unimaginable adrenaline, pain, excitement, and joy. *standing ovation*

Sophie is incredible in this book. Everything about her is cohesive and natural. She is different, yet the same Sophie we know and love from ADITR, which is something that is difficult to communicate, yet beautifully executed by Hopkins.

Elisa, that ending! You have ripped open my soul and set it on fire; the emotions! (Be ready with Kleenex and a punching bag guys) - that's all I'm going to say.

Hopkins will surely be brilliant yet again in Brilliantly Cut.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you NetGalley!

Wow. What a ride this was. Elisa Marie Hopkins, I bow to you and this masterpiece of literature you have created. This book was witty, deeply emotional, thrilling, enticing, and captivating from beginning to end. Exquisite and insightful writing about human behaviour following trauma, about trust and relationships. Although this book is classified as a 'romance' novel, it wasn't the main focus if the book; I mean it was in the sense that it focused building a relationship from shattered pieces and glueing them back together making an imperfect vase - a diamond in the rough, but it wasn't a book that paid much attention to the physical aspect of the relationship.

This was by far, one of my favourite books I have read. It kept me on my toes the whole length of the read. Even though the book was lengthy, it didn't feel long as I read it. Everything was nice and concise, the author never dwelling too long on unimportant aspects of the book. It kept a steady pace throughout and had great fluidity.

Overall, this was a beautiful book by a very talented author. I am beyond excited to read what else she has in store for us in the sequel.
