I received an ARC of this book from the author and I voluntarily reviewed it. Thank you Callie Hart!

Well! That was action packed and nostalgic at the same time! I loved how. Callie tied this series into the Blood and Roses series, or rather the Blood and Roses series into this one. I love crossovers, and this was such fun!

I liked the way the story was wrapped up. It was interesting and totally messed up in the most amazing way. The last 20% was super riveting and you won’t be able to tear yourself away from the book.

The only thing is that I think the rat of the book could have been a little more concise. The downtime was a little drawn out at times, especially when we know something big is coming. Maybe I’m just impatient *laughs nervously*. I think I’m just impatient. I also wished that there would have been another Fix/Sixsmith encounter! But that’s just me!

Overall, Dirty Nasty Freaks was original and fun! Action-packed and sexy as sin - catch my drift?

I want to start off with that ending. Hart is extremely talented at writing enticing endings that will leave the readers hanging and begging for more. She is able to surprise us with something we NEVER saw coming. For that I applaud her.

The rest pf the book was good, and had GREAT sex scenes, but lacked spark in regards to the plot. It was missing the oomph I have come to expect from a Callie Hart book. It does take a lot to make my heart race, so that just may be me, but I was left craving more substance. More adrenaline.

However, this does not take away that I love Fix and Sera, and that my friend and I are currently trying to solve the mystery and come up with theories and predictions for the next book. Yes, we are total nerds, but we - or at least I - have no shame when it comes to Callie Hart and her books. So in that respect, the intrigue is maintained!

Overall, good, and continued interest in the series, just was looking for more hart-racing and gut wrenching scenes.

Wow! This book was wild. It made me laugh so hard and fall for a totally complex and sinful character. Fix is so swoon-worthy.

I devoured this book. It just flowed so well from one page to the next. I could not stop myself! That’s how enthralling it was. The characters are intriguing and their stories gut wrenching. Fix is one original character. Out of all the books I’ve read, Fix stands out.

The humour in this book is amazing. It balances out some of the heavier stuff. It’s sarcastic and totally appropriate. It adds another layer to this book which makes it all the more entertaining.

That ending. Callie Hart will give me a heart attack one day. Oh my goodness. A friend of mine and I are already trying to figure out what it means! Ahhh we need book 2 tomorrow!

Oh. My. God. That was one intense turn of events at the end! I thought I had it all figured out, but hell, it was much more complex and dark than I had anticipated! (I'm shaking with adrenaline writing this) I have officially concluded that Hart is a goddess and can write anything.

She is just so talented with creating layered characters with hidden motives. She gives you some clues, but not all of them so that you are still surprised by the reveals, which is just PERFECTION. (Can you tell I liked this book?) The pretext of this book is super original and simple, and as the book goes on, you start being trapped more and more in the meticulously crafted spiderweb Hart has weaved, which by then, you are at her mercy. (I'm hoping that came out as eloquently as intended, if not, well I tried)

Mr. North is one intriguing main character. Hart manages to give him life, give him a believable personality that is so in tune with his past and the plot. A character we are sometimes conflicted about, yet undoubtedly end up falling for.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Callie Hart!

This is by far my favourite Callie Hart book yet. I'm sorry Zeth and Sloane, but Callan and his bluebird have stolen my heart. This story was so just so stunningly raw and beautiful.

This story deals with harsh and difficult subject matters that really pulls at the heartstrings. I can't even begin to describe how elegant this was. I'm still speechless at this point.

I absolutely loved the cohesiveness of this book; the repetition of the bluebird symbol throughout the novel in various forms. The many mediums in which the bluebird appears adds a certain complexity and depth to this already insightful novel.

I swear, this is being shelved as a "Favorite" as soon as I finish writing this.

I found that there were many other beautiful themes such as seeing the beauty in imperfection. I think this applies to the story as a whole, as well as to more specific portions.

What I thought Callie did really well was portray the array of human emotions in grief. She shows is how her characters are lost, angry, numb, devastated, seeking comfort, etc. She shows us how our intense emotions cloud our judgement and dictate our actions. How we lose control of ourselves when we lose control of our emotions. She shows us how her characters attempt to regain control, and how oftentimes, it is not done in a healthy manner.

This book just has so much in it, and I'm totally sending recommendations.

Wicked Things - Callie Hart

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Callie Hart!

What a great plot this book had . It had an amazing balance of emotion, and action. It ticked all the boxes and even had an epic crescendo falling action - that sounds contradictory, eh. What I'm trying to say is that this story was by no means flat. It tugged at your heart strings, yet thrilled you to no end at the same time. Your heart would race as you read wanting to know what was happening.

One thing I noticed about Hart's writing, is that she's very good at ending chapters in a way that makes you want to keep reading to find out what happens. After every single chapter, I was like: "Well, I can't stop now".

In addition, the book portrayed two stories in a sense. Zeth's with becoming a father, and Mason's with dealing and healing with Millie's death. What Hart has expertly done is keep them separate, but cohesive. What I mean is that they deal with their own issues, but the characters interact together towards a common goal. This allows for the story to have more depth and complexity.

All in all, another great one by Callie Hart!

Road To Ruin - Callie Hart & Jonny James

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Callie Hart & Jonny James!

This story has a lot of potential. It is twisted and dark - just the way I like my stories.

I fairly liked the characters, and honestly, my favourite is West Bastian (you may now judge me... Okay now stop). West is weird and hilarious in an effed up kind of way, which makes me really fond of him. I also really liked Nikita. She is such a badass yet caring, and I found myself rooting for her from her first chapter.

Speaking of first chapters, the first one in the novel held a promise of a dark, sadistic story, yet it turned out mellower than I thought. I believe that part of the cause of that is that the first half - or more - of the book feels like a giant introduction. It's a lot of setup and not a lot of punch. It felt like at the end, we were finally getting to a good pace, and then those words came up: "The End of Part One". *cue frustrated grunt*.

Overall, I am extremely intrigued as to what the authors have in store for us in Part 2, however, I wish that this installment had been more concise.

Rooke - Callie Hart

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Callie Hart!

Oh. My. God. Callie has done it again. It had been awhile since my last Hart read - I know blasphemous - but in a way, I saw just how much she has grown as an author. She improved so much in character building and development since the Blood and Roses series. Sasha's healing process is virtually impeccable throughout the novel, and her reactions to the situations she comes face to face with are on point.

Callie, you have officially created the most delicious male character ever - well except for Zeth, I mean, I named one of my house design assignments after him. Rooke - tattoos, treats women amazingly, reads romance novels, isn't afraid to care. *Swoons* His backstory is well built and works well with the plot. He is such a layered character, who makes you rethink the perceptions of mobsters and criminals.

Lastly, that plot twist at the end? Was not expecting that AT ALL. Like, that came out of nowhere, yet made so much sense! Callie, you are a genius and I can't wait to devour more of your books!
