I received an ebook of this novel form the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you B.B. Reid!
I had high hopes for this book. I was looking for extremely intense scenes which would make my heart race, and my breathing erratic, yet when the scenes that were supposed to do that came, nothing happened to me. I feel as though the plot was going in the right direction, but that the intense portions of the book were not described with enough, "umph"? I don't know if that is understandable, but I mean to say that the scenes lacked impact.
What I said up there by no means means (that was weird to type out) that I did not like the story line. On the contrary. I liked the thought that went into the rules of the Knights, at the beginning and at the end. I liked the origin story of the Knights, and their traditions. By including those things, Reid really creates a world into which we are introduced.Sometimes that world got too big, and there were too many characters to keep track of and it got confusing, but that may have been my lack of sleep at work.
So I am also just going to state that Z is mine - I will take down anyone who challenges that- , and that I cannot wait for his book!
